Have you been involved in health and fitness all your life, any other sports you have been involved with?
I first became involved in health and fitness, specifically weight training October 2012. I grew up in a sports orientated family and have being involved in multiple sports throughout my youth.
When did you first compete and who or what inspired you to compete in your first show?
I first competed in May 2013 with the ANB federation. My inspiration to compete came from the encouragement of fellow members and staff at Balmain fitness gym in Sydney. They saw a potential in me to compete as a fitness model, something that I had previously not considered and its through them that I first met my trainer and have not looked back since.
How many days a week do you train leading into a show?
Leading into a show I’ll weight train/cardio for 5 days of the week and light cardio 2 days a week.
What do you enjoy most about competing?
The process. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of all aspects of preparing for a competition; the hard work of your off season being revealed as you get closer to comp day, the discipline that is required to stay the course despite the mental boundaries and of course the end result that you present on stage.
What are your goals for 2014 in respect to shows?
My primary comp I’m aiming for is the Musclemania on the Gold Coast in September. I do however plan on doing some shows leading up to this, with the goal of peaking in time for the Musclemania Australia show in 2015.
